I’m disappointed that my original photo with these ladies of #Namibias #Himba tribe was taken down by @instagram, so I am re-sharing it again with emojis over their nipples. These women do not own Western clothes, so how am I supposed to share their unique culture with you? All people you see here gave me permission (through a translator) to photograph and film them and I told them I was going to post it publicly. There was no issues.
Living naked is real life for many groups of people, such as the Himbas, and there should be no barrier to show this to anyone. Nudity doesn’t always mean a sex tape - this is far from anything of that matter. How can Instagram let me type out the word “fuck” (and even say it on IG stories) without getting flagged? How is profanity acceptable to little kids, but showing real life inside of an African tribe isn’t? I never asked or requested these ladies to be naked - it’s 100% normal and it’s their only way of life. The original photo I shared had the highest engagement of any Instagram photo I’ve ever posted, which tells me that people love to see this type of content. What is the crime here?
